DIY: Mud Mask

In a world, where everyone is continuously on the go, we sometimes overlook to take time and take care of our skin. In the morning we rush through our feeble attempt to keep up our daily routine, but that is not strong enough to with stand the assault of the elements on our skin, that is why we are sharing this organic mud mask.

Due to increased pollution in our atmosphere, toxins make their way into our bodies and skin effortlessly. Our skin’s appearance tells a lot about what’s happening inside and outside of our body. By being conscious of this fact, we make an effort to eat wholesome so that our external appearance reflects our healthy ways; also, we added an organic facial mask to our daily skin care regime.

Today we’ll be sharing how to make your own facial mud mask made from bentonite clay, rose water and honey. This is absolutely the perfect hydration mask for your skin. Not only does it leave your skin smooth but it also gives a flawless afterglow.

For those of you who are not familiar with Bentonite clay, let us give you some of its benefits. The stringent properties of Bentonite clay are known to pull out impurities that are underneath the surface.

All though many of us use rose water in cooking, not a lot of us know that it’s also a powerful hydrating agent and that when applied it soothes the skin, giving it an evenly toned appearance.

Our last ingredient is honey. The superfood. We all know the benefits of it because we use it for everything, from cooking to medicine. We use honey as a skin care product because it’s an anti bacterial agent that soothes the skin and is magnificent for clearing dark spots.

We all want to use products that are readily available to us and avoid unnecessary expenditures. Knowing that it’s wholesome it’s an added bonus. That’s why we are sharing this recipe with you.



1 tbsp. Bentonite Clay

1 tbsp. honey

2 tbsp. rose Water


In a small bowl, add the clay, honey and the rose water. Mix all the ingredients together. Using an old foundation brush, apply the mixture evenly on your face. Leave it on for about 15 minutes. When it’s completely dry, rinse it off with warm water.

    Thank you for sharing, I have experienced Rose water do wonders for the skin. Just wipe with cotton dipped in rose water.

    Bentonite is new to me…we use Multani Mitti (a aromatic clay) here in India and make a facial mask…this mud mask sounds easy and wonderful to me..
