Welcome to our recipe blog! We hope you find our recipe menu full of delicious and healthy meals. Some of the foods that will be featured on here will be globally inspired entrees.  If you love different types of food, you will definitely enjoy our food blog.  Khadija and I love food, and it’s only fair to share our love for food with you guys.

Our first recipe is Southwestern inspired Mango Chutney. This is very delicious and great side dish and it goes well with many main dishes (say that ten times, many main dishes, many main dishes.. ok let me stop). It doesn’t require a lot of time to make.  Here is what you will need.

2 gloves of minced garlic
1/2 teaspoon ginger
1/4 cup of chopped scallions
chipotle to taste (chipotle is smoked jalapeño, it’s spicy!)
1/2 teaspoon cumin
1/2 teaspoon coriander
salt to taste
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 tablespoon of Organic sunflower oil (You can use nonorganic)
1/4 chopped cilantro
1 big mango

On medium heat, add oil to a pan. Once the oil is heated, sauté the scallions, ginger and garlic together. After about one minute, add the rest of the ingredients and cook on low-medium heat until everything cooks thoroughly and the mango softens. Your Mango Chutney is ready. Bon appétit!
