~Dr. Bronner’s: Pure Castile Soap
Dr. bronner’s 18-in-1 hemp peppermint castile soap (40-oz bottle and is priced at $9.79.) is my favorite body and hair wash. Let’s just start off by saying Costco is selling this product for a great price. I love the smell and how it contains all sorts of good and natural ingredients. My family and I enjoy this product and use it on a daily basis. I wash my hair with this soap then follow up with my favorite conditioner. It leaves my hair feeling so silky smooth.
Clarisonic plus face and body is another product that I enjoy using. I have received this as a gift from my family and I love it. It leaves my face and body looking and feeling clean after each use. The extension handle brush that comes with this product helps you clean hard to reach places, like your back. I can’t say it leaves my back as clean as my face but it really does a good job. Let’s just say, I’m truly happy to have this product in my collection.
This scalp massager ( at a price of $19.98) by vitagoods is one of the best purchases I’ve made this year. It claims to “promote hair growth by increasing blood flow to the scalp and helps control dandruff.” I have really noticed a big difference in my hair since I started using this product. My hair has gotten thicker and I’ve noticed it to grow a little faster. However, I also do a lot of hair masks and I give myself head massages using oils during my breaks :). Maybe the fast growth is from the combination of the things I do for my hair. Nonetheless, I love my scalp massage! I use my scalp massage after I apply my conditioner. I gently massage my hair in a circular motion using the massager for couple minutes, depending on how much time I have. Especial thanks to my beautiful cousin Fatma Abukar aka Ficaan for sharing this product with me. Now I’m sharing it with you!! You can find this product from www.amazon.com
~Green Touch: Hair Growth with cayenne and saw palmetto
I use this product once a week before I wash my hair. I evenly apply couple drops to my hair and leave it in for about 20 minutes. I then wash and style as usual. It does have a strong smell, but it goes away once you wash it off. The reason I purchased this product was I was shedding a lot of hair after I gave birth. I was a little scared and didn’t know the cause of my sudden hair loss. I was later convinced by many, that it was normal for a lot of women to lose hair after giving birth. However, I still wanted to find something that would help or slow hair shedding process. That’s when I found this product. It did help with my problem.
This is what it claims to do:
- “Treats hair loss, stimulates hair growth and blocks the effects of testosterone within the skin. Helps to reduce the Alopecia and DHT hair loss at a rate of 88.0%. Reduces hair loss by 50%!. Increases the time hair remains in the growth phase. Brings dormant hair follicles back to life! Improves scalp health and reduces scalp dandruff and flaking.”
You can find it on www.amazon.com
These products have been recent discoveries of mine and I have been loving them!
I’ll start with Marula Oil, thanks to Naima Ummsufian, this quickly became my favorite oil. It’s really moisturizing and light enough to even go under my makeup. I wear it right after I cleanse my face in the morning and at night. As you can see my first bottle has been well loved and will soon start another one. Love this stuff!
I was looking for a new organic/natural cleanser. So I decided to give the Shea Terra Organics Rosehip Black Soap a try. The combination between this cleanser and the Marula Oil has been amazing! I use this to cleanse my face then I moisturize it with the marula oil. There is instructions for a scrub on the back of the cleanser. You got to love products with multiple uses! It says the cleanser is for all types of skin. It also says it’s anti-acne and anti-aging. I have acne prone skin and I do find it to be helpful with acne. It also tightens my pores which I love. Overall just a great product.
Now on to my new favorite pink blush called “Cheekie” by Jane Iredale. Whenever I want a pink blush, this is the one I reach for. It’s very finely milled, so application is super smooth and it’s pigmented with no shimmer. It’s the perfect rosie pink.
I purchase all of my natural/organic products from pharmaca.com.
